8 week introduction to British Sign Language - Richmondshire

Date and Time: 6-8pm on the following WEDNESDAYS (excluding half term):

18th October, 25th October,

8th November, 15th November, 22 November, 29th November,

6th December and 13th December 2023

Learn & develop British Sign Language in a relaxed, fun environment

Learn the basics of communication and some day to day vocabulary*

Small and focused group which provides more tailored feedback

Discover whether this language is right for you, and if formal training is something you want to move onto

*There may be time for learning specialist or requested vocabulary, particularly within a smaller group

Introductory price: £120

There may be a subsidised group occurring from January 2024. The waiting list is NOT for the subsidised list, which will be managed and kindly funded by another organisation.

This is for 18+ (adults)

About the Teacher

Verity has taught British Sign Language up to Level 3, and qualified to Level 6 (degree level). She has taught Communication Tactics in Healthcare, and various trainings to the NHS, JobCentrePlus and the Crown Prosecution Service. She is also trained in Family Sign Language (to come soon) and a qualified Communicator Guide for Deafblind people.
